Brick Seen Not

I went and stared at a brick wall,
Then shifted my eyes side to side
For a creativity call,
Letting brick uses be my guide.
One could get married to a brick,
Or simply have it for a pet.
It could be a sucker to lick,
Or played just like a clarinet.
One could wear it around one's neck.
Or nominate it for a prize.
The Nobel Peace Prize - what the heck!
Then all goes black before my eyes.

A brick above fell on my head.
This test is done 'cause I am dead.

Woe Christmas Tree

There are countless tragic tales
Carried in the seasonal wind,
And the whole forest of us wails.
How many tree lives soon to end?
Humans come cut us down in prime,
Treenap us to their lairs to be
Their slaves for their holiday time,
Then toss us out - just a dead tree.
There are ET trees, so I've heard,
And if they come and take command,
Humans can stick in stands absurd.
Maybe then they will understand.

The perfect Christmas tree is where
Nature put me in land and air.

Flu Prep

Mancow and Pinkeye Pat prepare
For the swine flu, by rubbing up
Against each other, pressing there
To feel which has the bigger cup.
With fitted baby blue face masks
Meant to keep all those germs at bay.
Of course any smart, sane germ asks
"Why would I want to go their way?"
Latex gloves of yellowish tint,
One hand of Pat's says, "Let's take five."
Flipping the bird, the message sent
By Mancow. The duo do jive.

And the swine are preparing too
For the Mancow/Cassidy flu.

Rap It Allism Capitalism

Capitalism gets the Rap
From those who have something to sell,
Marketed by taking a slap
At the hand that feeds them so well.
Free enterprise is what all need
To sell whatever wares and ways.
One who preaches - beware of greed,
Passes collection plates and prays.
Words are sold by academics.
Media seeks to sell a spin.
Power is sold in politics.
Capitalism - branded sin.

Capitalism will prevail
As long as something is for sale.

Berlin Wall Fall

It's expressed in "The Legacy
Of the Berlin Wall" that its fall
Was thanks to The Presidency.
Reagan, Bush, Gorby did it all?
"Tear down this wall." - Reagan's demand
To Gorby, neither hurting there.
The fall really came at the hand
Of a people seeking to share
Once more a Fatherland as one.
Some Americans often think
That The Presidency has done
A world of wonder in a wink.

The Berlin Wall was torn down by
German people to unify.

Date Rate

Vampire or werewolf - which to date?
What a deep decision to make.
Assuming that the beast is straight,
And not just one more macho flake.
And assuming the date's at night,
'Cause we know that a vampire smokes
When caught out in the bright sunlight.
And werewolves being full moon blokes,
That would be a to do to check.
A gal's prom is a one time thing.
So go girl with one, what the heck,
That's gonna give you one grand fling.

'Cause either date could be a dud.
A choice of ripped flesh or drained blood.

Veterans Served and Stayed

11th day and month of year
1918 of World War I
The Allies had reason to cheer -
Victory and a war was done.
Americans were welcomed home,
But thousands could not journey back,
Buried beneath the foreign loam,
Killed for freedom under attack.
To be the war to end all war,
It turned out not to be the fate.
Americans die many more
For us before it is too late.

Around the world in land and sea,
Remains of those who died for me.

Intercourse

Cassidy and Mancow can clown
About the feely stuff they do
To one another in boystown.
Some listeners wonder if it's true.
They Brokeback forth and back so much
Over and over ev'ry show.
Lips winking "Sometimes When We Touch,"
Their current team song - doncha know!
And of course the duo does spat,
Spewing insults over the air -
"Mancow's whiny," "Cassidy's fat,"
Hyping their odd coupling affair.

Mancow and Cassidy, same sex,
One on one, both orally vex.

Mercurial Loons

We loons all know that mercury
Is metal to handle with care.
You humans acting carelessly,
Within the land, water and air,
Cause contamination galore.
And now we loons have toxic stuff
Causing us foul health more and more.
All we get from humans is guff
While laying your waste to the Earth.
Hopefully, Mother Nature knows
That humans are no longer worth
The trouble, and give you heave hos.

You call us crazy as a loon.
Your crazy time is coming soon.

Mount a Rush More

There's an NFL Rush Website.
It's supposed to be for the kids.
This Rush baby thought - well all right,
Let me at the opinion grids.
I wanted to voice my concern
That lefties' lies are out to harm
All football fans. We need to learn
That lefties love to cause alarm.
No place here though to raise my voice.
Just a bunch of contests and games.
Listening to Rush is my choice.
All of his shows are halls of fame.

You better watch out NFL.
Don't get stuck in liberal hell.

Dictator for Hire

Coming to senses as a "we"
Is never going to occur
As long as the powers that be
Keep playing their games to endure.
The Great Depression came and went,
And who stayed in was F.D.R.
Almost a dictator, he spent
His power right/wrong and near/far.
Look at China for guidance here.
Dictatorship is what we need
To make bad spending disappear
And limit to one power greed.

To stop the chaos consequence -
A dictator with common sense.

Tricked Accidentally

My wedding ring reminds me of
My dear husband, who now is dead,
Of all the years we shared in love.
For 55 years we were wed.
It was Halloween trick or treat.
So many children at my door,
All costumed up, they were so sweet.
I gave out candy till no more.
Later, I could not find my ring.
I searched the house everywhere.
It must have had some loosening,
And fell into a child's bag there.

I gave the treat and got the trick.
I lost my ring and I'm just sick.

Job Change

A taxi passenger did tap
The driver on his shoulder to
Ask a question, causing a flap.
The cabbie shrieked and drove right through
A red light onto a sidewalk.
No one was hurt. The cabbie spewed
Forth utterings of nasty talk,
But then said sorry he was rude,
And that the tapping startled him.
This was his first day in the cab.
His people skills were still quite slim.
He wasn't used to grab and gab.

"I'm sorry that I got so terse."
"For 20 years I drove a hearse."

Hard Lesson

My son is 12 and a good kid.
He was goofing off while at school.
It was stupid what my son did,
And he knows that he was a fool.
He poked a classmate in the knee
With his pencil. He didn't mean
For it to cause an injury.
The poke mark could hardly be seen.
But the classmate's folks made a fuss,
And said it could have been much worse.
All the apologies from us
Would not make the school's choice reverse.

I'm not excusing what was done,
And I'm here for my expelled son.

Present

There was a terrible car crash.
The victim was identified
By authorities acting rash,
Not checking out the one who died.
Two days later, I got the news,
And went to the funeral to
Be with my older sister who's
My only family. I knew
She'd freak out when I did appear.
My sister looked at me and said,
"Oh God, what are you doing here?"
"The coronor said you were dead."

A mistaken identity,
And the funeral was for me.

Burrower

It is an ancient fearsome beast
That comes to life in a red moon,
And seeks warm blooded prey to feast.
I'd heard of it in tale and tune,
Told by my people in low tone,
Of how it spits a venom spray,
Paralysing the flesh and bone;
Letting the body set a day,
Then returning to eat at night,
Burrowing back out of the ground.
I know now that my tribe was right.
I cannot move or make a sound.

The sun is setting through the weed.
Soon it will be coming to feed.

No Conception

We had no unprotected sex
Until that special wedding night.
Then happened what no one expects.
Feelings of love turned into fright.
In place of orgasm was pain.
An awful wave of burn and pierce.
Neither one of us could explain
Why I was hurting something fierce.
Hypersensitivity to
Seminal plasma doctors said.
There was no treatment that would do
Cure for this part of being wed.

My sperm allergy means that we
Can have no child conceivably.

Behind Blues Behind Bars

I love my Lazy Boy chair, so
I motorized it with some wheels.
Steering with a joystick, I go
Out and roll with automobiles.
The cops got me for DUI,
And ordered me out of my chair.
I sat and refused to comply.
The cops pulled me out by my hair.
We all got into a fist fight.
I was arrested for assault.
Don't drink and drive - I know that's right.
I was wrong and it was my fault.

Sure gonna be rough on my tail.
Can't take my Lazy Boy to jail.

What Would Jesus Do?

In "Curb Your Enthusiasm,"
Larry David did do his biz
In a religious sarcasm
Meant to shake about the as is,
Peeing on a picture of Christ,
Of course "accidentally" done,
In an episode merchandised
To get shock value ratings run.
Such boorish behavior is sad,
But a sin most likely it's not.
Jesus said do good, not bad,
But not all do what Jesus taught.

However man might take a leak,
Jesus would turn the other cheek.

Pulaski

Casimir Pulaski, he came
From Poland to the colonies,
To fight redcoats in freedom's name.
Put in charge of the cavalries,
He put the enemy to run.
At the Battle of Brandywine,
He saved the life of Washington.
The Commander of the Equine
Spent his own fortune to take care
Of all those under his command.
Fatally wounded, his last prayer
Was for freedom for the new land.

General Pulaski gave all,
Bravely answering freedom's call.

Infect Effect

Child porn got into my p.c.
How and why I just did not know.
The cops came and arrested me.
I was shunned. My job let me go.
I spent all I had on defense.
Investigators at last proved
What happened and my innocense.
An infecting virus had moved
Into my p.c. enabling
Real pedophiles to get logged in
And do loads of nasty surfing,
Making me look guilty as sin.

A virus spread pornography,
Destroying my integrity.

Flight 93

Tower of Voices side by side
With 40 wind chimes in the air
Of passengers and crew who died,
And whose remains are buried there.
Lined by trees, maple and oak,
A break therein to symbolize
The act of ordinary folk,
Crashing their plane down from the skies.
The names engraved in granite wall,
In a circle embracing round,
A reminder to one and all
That this place is on sacred ground.

A memorial meant to be
For heroes of Flight 93.

Fly by Murphy's Law

No flight will ever be on time,
Unless I would like the delay
To make a flight - my missings climb,
As though the plane giggles - no way.
No flight ever leaves from Gate One.
And the distance of my sought gate
Keeps increasing, making me run
The more and more that I am late.
No flight wants me to fly in peace.
The chatty, the crying baby,
The contagious and the obese.
All will be seated next to me.

Yes, Murphy's Law applies to flight
Whether tray tables are upright.

Paw of Pa

My son's mother is such a bitch,
Turning me into the cops for
Giving my son something so rich
From the Fresno Bulldogs gang lore.
At 7, my son's old enough
To make decisions on his own.
He's got to learn how to be tough.
Fresno can be a real bad zone.
So putting the gang sign dog paw
Upon my boy's belly was right.
And it don't matter if the law
Wants to lock me up long and tight.

The Bull Dog paw tattoo is one
Sacred between father and son.

Ilya

I told them that I would catch up.
The other manatees swam on.
I had sightseeing to do - yup.
And soon the others were long gone.
Somewhere in New Jersey I got
Lost, and the water got too cold.
Humans found me and I was brought
By net into a cargo hold.
So now I'm heading south to where
The winter waters are just right.
This trip up north gave me a scare.
The gang will be a welcome sight.

I've got a tale to tell, I do.
The gang all swam home, but I flew.

Ribbon

Sue Ann was a new girl at school.
She was cute and she smiled at me.
Always dressed sharply as a rule,
Around her neck there'd always be
A green ribbon and tied quite tight.
I got the nerve and asked her out.
We were in my car late at night
In Lover's Lane. She knew no doubt.
Music played from the radio.
I put my arm around her neck.
She had fallen asleep, and so,
Touching the ribbon - what the heck!

I untied the ribbon. It fell.
And so did Sue Ann's head as well.

No Dream

My Daddy told me not to talk
To any negro. But then I
Fell down while I was on my walk.
A negro man came driving by,
And was only trying to aid,
When Daddy and Uncle Jack came.
The negro man was real afraid.
I told Daddy there was no blame.
Dr. King on the radio
Did speak in Washington D.C.
As Daddy beat that poor negro.
Then they did hang him from a tree.

All I could do was watch and scream,
Drowning out words, "I have a dream..."

Bumps

A British commission gave me
A quite generous grant so that
I could study the bumps that be
In and about my own bath mat.
I studied how the bumps do form,
And move about and interact,
Seeking to discover a norm
About the bumps that could be fact.
But, alas, 'twas inconclusive
What makes the bath mat bumps behave
With unknown properties that give
The thing a mysterious flav.

The bath room mat bumps one suspects
Are things of physics so complex.

Kids Being Kids

I have raised my children up right.
Young curiosity is good.
The world out there is full of spite,
And moreso in this neighborhood.
It was just educational
To make explosive devices.
I told them to be real careful.
True learning takes sacrifices.
So what if a few mailboxes
Got blown up. It was worth the pranks
To illustrate paradoxes
That cool parents never get thanks.

Making pipe bombs is what they did.
All just part of being a kid,

Bomb Gay

The Wright Labs came up with a plan
To make a gay bomb to fight foe.
An aphrodisiac that can
Homosexual urge bestow
On enemy troops would be dropped.
The troops would cease all fight stuff,
And instead in same sex would opt.
The effects would last long enough
To confuse and demoralize.
For effort the Wright Labs did win
Parodied Ig Nobel Peace Prize.
The Pentagon did not buy in.

War is often described as hell.
Would it end with don't ask, don't tell?

Screaming Jenny

Poor jenny was lighting a lamp
Late at night so that she could see
Along the tracks that she would tramp,
Looking for discarded for free.
Some sparks did fly and strike her clothes,
And suddenly, she was on fire.
Through the still air her screams arose.
In agony, her plight was dire.
And then a train came round the bend
Too late to stop. Jenny was struck.
Still screaming till the very end,
In life and death she had no luck

Ablaze on the tracks once each year,
There screaming Jenny does appear.
