Boo

To boo came from cow sounds tiz said,
Though most will say cow sounds are moo.
And there's the boo from ghostly dead -
Ghosts have nothing better to do.
Some folks pay money to be part
Of a booing audience - Gee!
So much to boo in sport and art,
Stay home and watch and boo for free.
But booers like their boos to build,
A feeling of empowerment.
Shouting out boos, and there's fulfilled
An "in your ears - bum" message sent.

To boo or not to boo - the choice
Faced daily by most any voice.

Field Yield

From contraceptives, there's old borne
A bunch of life controversies.
Male run religions ever scorn
Family planning strategies.
The man long puts the woman's place
As serving the man's ev'ry need.
And to bear forth the human race,
The woman's there for the man's seed.
Kind of like the plowed field is there
To yield of life when duly sown.
The field thinks not of when or where
Or why or how new life be grown.

Man judges woman by her yield,
Just like a man judges his field.

Hazel Soares

Ellsworth Soares, a U.S. G.I.
Came back home after World War II.
But not a college kind of guy,
The G.I. Bill he did not do.
But years later, Hazel, his wife,
Used Ellsworth's benefits from then
To pursue a new college life,
Graduated two thousand ten,
At the young age of 94,
And grateful for the G.I. Bill,
Making real now, her dreams before,
Giving her the help to fulfill.

The G.I. Bill made history,
Like Hazel Soares and her degree.

Higgs Bosen

The Big Bang of the universe
Began it all for all tiz said.
Higgs Bosen, for better or worse,
Was the wee particle that led
To making nothing into mass.
And now masses in human shape
Have evolved enough to surpass
Secrets till now let Higgs escape.
Curiousity killed the cat.
Perhaps curious got banged out,
When catching Higgs Bosen, and that
Started all, all over - no doubt!

The scientists' last word be "Dang!"
Higgs Bosen does one new Big Bang!

Falcon Eyes

The pop phenom, Rihanna, took
To Twitter 'bout her ink to tweet.
A falcon on her ankle look,
And how she thought such bird 'twas neat,
That during sleep, it kept its eyes
Wide open as a light to shine.
Rihanna surely meant no lies,
But fact checkers did check her line
With experts on the falcon bird.
Its eyes do close when it does sleep.
But will Rihanna get the word
Before she makes another peep?

When her put foot in her mouth be,
What does Rihanna's falcon see?

Obamataxcare

The Supremes saved Obamacare,
Thanks to the Chief Supreme's left turn,
To make the libbies float on air,
And to make the conservies burn.
'Tis constitutional because
The Feds have the power to tax,
And can be used in all the laws
To make us behave to the max.
The Massachusetts model can
And should be given a close look,
Like testing a guinea pig plan
On how much from who's pocketbook.

In the end whatever its name,
It will be a tax just the same.

Tiz Tax

Chief Justice Roberts saved the law,
Obamacare, that duly passed.
'Twas there constitutional flaw?
Roberts ruled, "Nope," causing aghast.
'Tis constitutional to tax,
Roberts contorted 'twixt and 'tween -
Can tax to punish to the max.
Just taxed for living, it can mean.
The Feds fav is to spend galore,
So We the People will pay out
More cash called taxes, more and more,
Citing the Roberts rule, no doubt.

Conservies, libbies - matters not.
The Feds want more of what we've got.

Accused of buying politics.
Corrupting power is big biz
From all sides in the govvie mix.
The media should love the deal,
Getting paid for their press and air.
Take it away and hear the squeal
Of meddling by gov - just taint fair.
To speak the bare truth just gets lost
In all the lies of fanciness.
To not know truth - what is that cost
To We the People - take a guess.

Shrink the govvie powers away -
Who will live to see that day?

The term, "true patriotism,"
Is tossed about by left and right,
Telling what it truly ism
By only those who see the light.
The rest of We the People are
Simply pawns in that great debate,
Used and abused in liply spar
By those who think their side must state
What's patriotic and what's not,
What is the common good and bad.
Of course each side is sure it's got
The only true word to be had.

The sounds of them or us will be,
But People want to hear the We.

States of Reminds

In the founding days, rights of states
Came first out of necessity.
From them came the powers and weights
To let a federal thing be.
But now the federal thing tiz
No longer needing states to thrive,
Telling the states, "None of your biz,"
In legalistic wordy jive.
Oh, Feds still throw a bone or two
To states to keep them all in line.
But Feds do what Feds wanna do,
And stick states where the sun don't shine.

To the Feds, the states must bow down
Like before founded - to the Crown.

Will lose four years to pundit poke,

On making news mischief - no joke!

Take a peek at those who talk most,
Then follow the money they make
From all the lip flaps that they boast

The more such talk, the more does spew
Carbon dioxide through the air.
If such talkers were really true,
Then all such talk, they'd cease to share.

There would be less carbon about,
If no one talked of it - no doubt!

Rove to the ritzy part of town,
And using worst of copied skills,

The city powers say to us
Take it in stride and don't fight back,
Don't want no Trayvon Martin fuss.
Victims - take notes on the attack.
Kids play and then tire of the toy.
So if caught, Courts will let'em go.

To peeve the President - hello.
The context is comparing to
The public sector that's in need.

Are not doing so fine - indeed!
The whole economy would be
So better off if we just hired

But then one day it was not said.
Something 'bout a Supreme Court rule.
I even heard that God was dead.
I figured it was all about
The grown ups doing grown up stuff.
God was still ev'rywhere - no doubt!
Just grinning at the grown up guff.
And in all schools, God is right near,
Whether or not a prayer we say.
An unsaid prayer, God still does hear.
It matters not how loud we pray.

Not said, but thought, a prayer can be.
At school that's how God hears from me.

With finterest compounding paid.

And through the decades you did grace
The screen with so much memory.
The bad guy or the good guy part,
You had a way that did beguile
The audience right from the start,
Drawn to you with that tooth gap smile.
You said Oscar made you a star
That came with messes that you made,
But you shined brightly long and far.
We're glad you came and glad you stayed.

You give heaven a great big hug.

Where forces were trained for gung ho.
But there hit bad publicity

So Blackwater was changed to XE.
Too sissified was the feedback.

U.S.D.A. to be exact
Told what middle classes had spent
After the consummating act
Until the age of 17.
A bunch of bucks it takes to raise
A kid that's growing 'twist and 'tween
Bundle of joy through hormone phase.
The pie chart shows that basic needs
Stay close in overall percent,
But education piece proceeds
To balloon on what has been spent.

It costs much more to educate.

By those mean boys there on the bus,

And many we wish she were us.

From juvenile delinquent brats.
The hurting words that they did tell
Caused the passing of "help her" hats,
To show her that the world does care,
Thanks to those boys being so mean.
She's now almost a millionaire
For just that short time caught on screen.

Rich Karen Klein - some now would say,

Assuring them it's for the good.
There's so much bad, we must send more,
The never ending soldier hood.
We bring the dead back coffin draped
In Ol' Glory, for which they died.
In death, these soldiers have escaped
The war still raging from inside,
Of soldiers coming back, not dead,
But living with the hell torn soul.
We say it's only in your head,
A little rest and you'll be whole.

Reminders of war, we like not.
Wounded children be best forgot.

Sunday Sin

And went out to play golf instead.
A course far from home he did pick,
Where no one would know Father Ed.
And all by himself, he did play,
To further hide the fact, no doubt,
What he was up to on Sunday,
No one but him would know about.
Four hundred yards was the first hole.
Father Ed teed up and then struck.
The ball did fly and then did roll
At the pin, in the cup - what luck!

Sometimes golf can make one's life hell.
Hole in one, but who could he tell?

Century Children

A hundred years that came and went,
Living the American dream.
Middle class parents ever spent
Time searching for that hidden scheme
On how to raise the kids just right
To assure them a better life,
So when the kids grew up, they might
Make a good husband or good wife,
And then raise children of their own,
To realize what sacrifice
Their parents surely must have known,
And so now treat them very nice.

Good parenting is like roulette.
There's no such thing as a sure bet.

For so many who came from none.

To then come true for anyone.
