Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Pulaski

Casimir Pulaski, he came
From Poland to the colonies,
To fight redcoats in freedom's name.
Put in charge of the cavalries,
He put the enemy to run.
At the Battle of Brandywine,
He saved the life of Washington.
The Commander of the Equine
Spent his own fortune to take care
Of all those under his command.
Fatally wounded, his last prayer
Was for freedom for the new land.

General Pulaski gave all,
Bravely answering freedom's call.
