I told them that I would catch up.
The other manatees swam on.
I had sightseeing to do - yup.
And soon the others were long gone.
Somewhere in New Jersey I got
Lost, and the water got too cold.
Humans found me and I was brought
By net into a cargo hold.
So now I'm heading south to where
The winter waters are just right.
This trip up north gave me a scare.
The gang will be a welcome sight.

I've got a tale to tell, I do.
The gang all swam home, but I flew.
