Home Invaders

I hear that U.S. kids are stressed
Because a parent is deployed,
Fighting in wars like fiends obscessed
With having other lands destroyed.
Perhaps U.S. kids would be more
Unstressed with parents fighting in
Their own backyard a righteous war
That the invaders would not win.
The U.S kids should feel the pride
Of parents fighting for their land,
Not letting home be occupied.
Then U.S. kids would understand.

As a kid I cope best I can
With my Dad in the Taliban.

Angling

"What's in it for me" is the way
That most people just think and act.
It's a game that folks love to play.
Angling for self is just a fact.
Sometimes it works and sometimes not,
But that's the challenge of the game.
Ulterior motives begot
Noah's ark of biblical fame.
All those animals, two by two,
Angled Noah to get their wish
For ark space. Those who did not do
All the self promo were the fish.

Let folks be as fake as can be
And leave us fish more angler free.

Pine and Whine

Israel became a fact of state
When powers that be said it be.
Nobody could predict its fate,
Surrounded by sworn enemy.
For decades Israel has survived
By doing what it had to do.
In many ways Israel has thrived.
Its hopes and dreams are coming true.
But outsiders do criticize.
U.S.ers like to harp and fret
That Israel has faults, and chastise
That Israel isn't perfect yet.

Those who can't do only opine.
U.S. pundits just like to whine.

Alpaca Pick

Some U.S. farmers adore me.
My kind can bring a lot of green,
The spending kind, because we be
A tax shelter - know what I mean?
We come from the high Andes lands,
Sometimes smuggled north like the drugs,
To be in cute and hairy bands,
Knitted into sweaters and rugs.
One good habit - we all do poop
In a simple common dung pile.
One bad habit - at times we stoop
To spitting at you with a smile.

My good life on the farm will stop
When alpaca's bubble does pop.

Color Scheme

Forever, the color of skin
Has caused much hate and prejudice.
In the U.S. racism's been
A constant and evil abyss.
A secret scientific team
Has produced a genetic way
To shade the American Dream.
All shall become the color gray.
Big gov will set a virus loose,
Containing the new color gene.
All living and newborn produce
Will share the same gray colored sheen.

The big government nanny state
Is gonna gray out racial hate.

Octomom

Oprah, Orman and Octomom
Three Oh, Oh, Oh s chatting about
Why Nadya's life is like a bomb
Ticking toward a complete blowout.
Get an agent and then get God
Is Orman's financial advice.
Don't be so hung up on your bod
Is Oprah's take on overprice.
So why are they doing this show?
Octomom should not be judged bad.
It's for the children - doncha know?
Their mom's a whack job - 'tis so sad.

These fourteen kids have rough in store,
And knowing Mom, there may be more.

Starbucks

Starbucks has a global mindset,
And recognition is most prime.
Logo change is always a bet
That change is better over time.
Sirens of myth with singing breath
Lured horny sailers to their lair
Where the sailers were put to death.
Kind of heavy to sell a ware!
But the Starbucks Siren's been 'round
To lure the sippers from day one.
To see her is to hear the sound
"Hey sipper - wanna have some fun?"

With Star upon the Siren's head
"Spend Bucks on me," her sweet lips said.

'Tis the Season to be Taxed

Politically incorrect
To say "Merry Christmas" out loud.
A noise pollution with effect
Of causing an offensive cloud.
The Whos of Whoville said these words,
And got the big bad Grinch uptight.
To the powers that be absurds,
The Grinch appealed and got the right
To levy a pollution tax
Upon each and every Who,
Who did voice "Merry Christmas" acts.
So nasty for that Grinch to be.

Whos can say words that Grinch offend
If Whos pay taxes at the end.

Colors on Course

I was discovered on a rock,
Sun bathing in a lounging way.
My multi colored skin - a shock -
Orange, purple, yellow, black array.
Psychedelica is the name
That I am given to be known
As I pursued fortune and fame
Like my cousin of drabber tone
Who got the part I should have had.
When I found out I'd not been cast,
I fired my agent, but I'm glad
This gecko's time has come at last.

I'm going where the action is -
The T.V. advertising biz.

Newsmaker

Killer wackos know they will be
Made famous in the air and press.
Mainstream media have a spree
Covering a mass murder mess.
The victims get reported too,
But the killer takes center stage.
The mug shot always a must do,
Showing the face in burning rage.
If it bleeds, it leads - that's a fact
That any killer wacko knows.
All it takes is a killing act
That's prime - off all media goes.

Killer wackos - they want the fame.
They want the world to know their name.

Old Videos Never Die

The USS Enterprise saw
Its captain of ship hit the fan
When videos caused shock and awe,
So sacrifice this navy man
Said the powers that be at sea,
Relieving him of his command
For being oh so un p.c.
And viral outrage has been fanned.
The captain had to lose his ship
To keep the peace for p.c. sake.
Hear ye ship captains - here's a tip.
Re videos - don't ask, don't make.

P.C. tattletales ever lurk
Torpedoing a Captain Kirk.

Of Wile E. Coyote who tries
To catch his quarry as his goal,
Using absurd and dumb disguise.
The Road Runner economy
Beep beeps its way through all the traps
Coyote sets in flawed theory.
It's Coyote caught in mishaps.
The Acme QE2 pursuit
That more government stimuli
Will nab the Road Runner enroute
Will make us all laugh while we cry.

Reality is coming soon
In the form of a loony tune.

Birthday Blues

Father sent me on a long trip
Far away from the planet Earth.
I returned expecting worship
Big time, celebrating my birth
Yes, there were some nativities
And some sweet baby Jesus songs.
But this jolly fat dude - puhleeze!
And crazy shoppers in mass throngs.
Cut down trees to show off a lot.
Some sharing my being was wrecked
Because such sharing might just not
Be politically correct!

A few centuries I'm away,
What the hell's up with my birthday!

OWN Tone

The Oprah Winfrey Network - OWN
Is bottom line about show biz.
Let the commercials set the tone
And be like Super Bowl ads - 'tis
What a lot of folks tune to watch -
Some clever short ways set to sell
Even if the show is a botch.
A smart ad is the show and tell.
Great optics is of course a must
To keep the viewer glued in time.
But what would give that special thrust -
All of the dialogue should rhyme.

Rhyming commercials would be such
To give OWN that poetic touch.

Mind Less

The young should just enjoy the now
And not have fret on what 'twill be,
Entitlements, a sacred cow,
Do not do well in scrutiny.
The politicians kick the can.
It's just the way that things are done.
The thought of pay as we go plan
Is just too hard and is no fun.
Live as though today is the last.
In current me isms partake.
The future has yet to be cast.
Ignore it for sanity's sake.

'Tis said that ignorance is bliss.
Just ignore the coming abyss.

Cahokia

Cahokia, city that thrived
Way back in southern Illinois.
Unknown native peoples arrived,
North America's pride and joy.
Thousands did live among mounds built,
Some of which were skyscraper high,
On the plain like a patchwork quilt,
Ancient marvel to mystify.
But all in the city were gone
By the time Europeans came,
Swarming across and trampling upon.
The place would never be the same.

Cahokia, city of mound,
Buried beneath the lost and found.

Addressed

Google likes to pay billions for
Web sites owned by clever cash short.
WikiLeaks would be such a score,
But Assange is a nomad sort.
He has had no mailing address,
So Google could not do a deal.
With his funds being less and less,
A sale might be of more appeal.
And sure enough, Assange got digs,
And the world knew where to find him.
Prosperity can now go bigs
Filling him with cash to the brim.

Google might just nail down the sale,
'Cause Mr. WikiLeak's in jail.

The Write Stuff

The next decade, growth will be slow.
If all follow my book's advice,
You the consumer need to know
That spending is a no no vice.
Just pay off the debt that you have.
Food, clothing, shelter - keep it cheap.
Deflation is the saving salve
That will pull you out of the bleep.
Hunker down for the years ahead.
There is no rosey life outlook,
Just living with much less instead.
Of course you have to buy my book.

The American Dream - puhleeze!
It has turned into Japanese!

Chewzy

I'm chewing green with chicle sap
From the sapodilla tree trunk.
Gum without the chemical crap
In Wrigley and Cadbury junk.
The Mayans used to chew the stuff.
I doubt if it had much to do
That they disappeared in a puff,
But left behind this gum to chew.
Au natural is how chewed gum
Should be as conquered by my teeth.
Then to its resting place to come
At my school desk, there underneath.

Just like the Mayans used to be,
Chewing on the same stuff in Glee.

That I am prego - dad unknown.

I can raise a kid on my own.
But I'm concerned of what I hear
About a gene of politics
Could bend right or left, and I fear
A Rush Limbaugh gets in my mix.
I asked my gyno about this,
And if there were some tests to run
To assure that my baby bliss -
A Nancy Pelosi like one.

Being a Lib, science forbid
That I should have a conserv kid.

Fly Unlike a Bird

Mankind was meant to fly some said
Way back when just the birdies flew.
Flying is for the birds. I dread
My next plane flight. I really do.
The last time that I flew 'twas bleep.
Two flights cancelled due to bad luck.
The airport floor - no fun to sleep.
T.S.A hands on - nip and tuck.
At last on a plane, but fate balked.
Ten hours on the tarmac lined.
For the time spent I could have walked.
Flight by mankind has turned unkind.

I predict that next time I fly,
Without a doubt I'm gonna cry.

Tony Danza's English classroom.
The killer used some strange sharp tool
To seal the dead janitor's doom.
Angie Harmon checks out the bod.
The throat's been slashed from ear to ear.
Pink polish in the wound is odd.
Serena William's needed here,
To check out suspect manicure.

Look at all hands until they're sure
Who a pink finger nail less be.

Hanoi Jane

Jane Fonda, because of her fame,
Her anti Vietnam war acts
Got loads of press, and many claim
She should have been charged to the max
For treason and tried for that crime,
And if found guilty, put to death.
No matter the passing of time,
No matter how much of her breath
Is spent doing Oprah and such,
Her image can never be more
Than a bad memory of much
Of pain of the Vietnam war.

Many of us live and let live,
But many of us won't forgive.

To earn those millions he was paid.

About decisions he had made.
He had decided he was mad
About the nastiness endured
By then President Dear ol' Dad,
So getting even in him stirred.
When Katrina hit with her might,
George W. from Air Force One
Asked Karl Rove to ponder the plight.
Karl said not to worry - 'twas spun.

When asked whether he was a schnook,
George W. said, "Read my book."

Me, a terrorist wannabe
That the most preferred bombing plot
Should involve airplane crash debris.
I was too timid to ask why.
Rumor has it bin Laden once,
As a kid and afraid to fly,
Saw a plane do aerial stunts,
And swore that plane was mocking him.
So they're prime targets of his wrath.
My planned attack took a turn grim
When I was killed by travel math.

I was on my way to the plane,
When my car got hit by a train.

To comfy him in desert dry?
Of all the WikiLeaks that leaked
His voluptuous blond, blue eyed
Most likely got him the most peeked.
The object of envy worldwide.

Teach Breach

Public school teachers represent
Why the U.S is losing ground.
Many start out incompetent,
And they're the ones who stick around.
There are few incentives for good
Teachers to battle all the crap
Coming from inept systemhood,
And forced to take the unfair rap.
So good teachers fade from the scene,
Leaving deeper the classroom rut
Of students caught up 'twixt and 'tween
A system covering its butt.

China teachers who don't do well
Get reindoctinated hell.
