Sense Sonnet - Steamer

States of Reminds

In the founding days, rights of states
Came first out of necessity.
From them came the powers and weights
To let a federal thing be.
But now the federal thing tiz
No longer needing states to thrive,
Telling the states, "None of your biz,"
In legalistic wordy jive.
Oh, Feds still throw a bone or two
To states to keep them all in line.
But Feds do what Feds wanna do,
And stick states where the sun don't shine.

To the Feds, the states must bow down
Like before founded - to the Crown.
