Sense Sonnet - Chiller
Occasion for Chaos
Soft and sweet has turned Halloween.
Trick or treaters are deemed so cute.
Candy companies hype the scene
In making more profit pursuit.
So when I left the pumpkin patch,
And was carved out with my big smile,
I thought up some chaos to hatch,
Then carry out in gruesome style.
So in suburbia I be,
Upon the preacher's porch I sit.
Appear so innocent is me.
In welcoming fashion I'm lit.
When a kid does say, "Trick or treat,"
Then this Jack O'Lantern does eat.
