Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Snowman Cometh

Christmas Eve and the first snowflake

Fell outside to my great delight.

While gingerbread cookies did bake,

The snow kept falling, lovely white.

Then soon I heard the doorbell ring.

I answered and a snowman stood.

The song, "White Christmas," he did sing,

A little off key, but still good.

Invited in, he came with me.

Sipped hot chocolate, he and I,

Sitting next to the Christmas tree.

But far from the fireplace. Guess why!

We waited for Santa with joy,

I, good girl, and snowman, good boy.
