Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Pride in My Colors

I am the rainbow flag for Pride,

Flying proudly the month of June,

When came a quarrel from my inside.

'Twixt and 'tween red and blue were strewn

Lots of nasty words back and forth,

All over feud from politics.

Red went right south and blue left north,

Leaving two gaps in me to fix.

I sent my other colors out.

Some went to red, some went to blue.

Come back together came about,

As I the rainbow flag, Pride knew.

In a rush before July comes,

Red and blue are again chums.
