Sense Sonnet - Acher

 The Great Pumpkin

The Great Pumpkin. Mr. Schulz named

Me in the "Peanuts" comic strip.

Though unseen, I still became famed.

Each Halloween I'd take a trip

From the pumpkin patch, mission to

Deliver a big bag of toys

As presents for all of those who

Be believe in me girls and boys.

Of all the Peanuts gang, just one,

Linus, believed I did exist.

Though my gifting never be done,

Linus' faith in me would persist.

Linus, now in his late sixties will

Await my Halloween coming still.
