Sense Sonnet - Pumper
Looking Back at a Human
Small lounging lizard, I am one,
As I breathe in lots of fresh air,
Enjoying soaking up the sun.
And then I see a human there,
Who's just standing and watching me.
From instinct and experience, I
Know hard to predict, humans be.
Some good, some bad, I don't know why.
So I decide to just look back,
Hoping my best guess does not fail.
And the human makes no attack,
Now seeming on the harmless scale.
Again feeling safe and secure,
I'm breathing easier for sure.
