Sense Sonnet - Steamer
Double Draw
"Draw water from the well," the wife
Does order me in her stern voice.
This chore always fills me with strife,
But do so cuz I have no choice.
At last I pull the bucket up,
Which makes me so thirsty, so
I tip the bucket like a cup,
And all the water in does go
Down my throat, and then I return
To the wife, empty bucket in
My hand, now she tells me real stern,
I have to draw water again.
Draw water from the well, but I'm
Too scared to drink any this time.
