Vow Breaking Point

Malaysian monks are in a fix.
Their temple has been overrun
With stinging ants, and that conflicts
With remedies that might be done.
Nonviolence, the monks are bound,
And thus, they cannot hurt the ants.
Peaceful attempts go round and round,
Notwithstanding all prayers and chants.
To vacuum up was the last try,
And take the ants to woods away.
But, the ants returned, by and by,
Apparently intent to stay.

By the way, a vacuum can hurt.
Just ask any lint, dust or dirt.
