Sense Sonnet - Chiller

Fatal Consumption

When my grandma was just a girl,
Her family lived on a farm.
Grandma had a sister named Pearl,
Who was always finding some harm.
Grandma's mother was baking some bread.
She left the kneaded dough to rise.
Pearl snuck the dough outside and fled,
Thinking she'd snagged a tasty prize.
She went behind the storage shed,
And gobbled down all the dough.
Sometime later, they found Pearl dead,
Her stiffened body bloated so.

The dough rose from the abdomen,
Pushing the heart up to the chin.
