 Wedding Invitation

A courier delivered to

Me a sealed envelope, I sign,

Open and read, and surprised, true,

Feelings emerge, hard to define.

Wedding invitation I get

A lot of them and I feel good,

But this one gets me some upset.

Maybe the sender knew it would.

So to myself, I won't pretend

I feel bad, but won't let it show.

Written best wishes I will send.

And I want our children to go.

Not a letter that one expects,
