 For My Kids

Daughter and son are watching me,

Making use of the gift I got.

So sitting here, painting I be,

And both of them seem pleased a lot.

Yes, when they're pleased, I am pleased too.

Painting, I don't like any sort.

But since it is their gift, I do

Paint because I am a good sport.

Though I am not having much fun,

I want my kids to know I try.

So I'll persist until it's done.

At least it's not another tie.

Their Dad's Day gift that I did get?
