Sense Sonnet - Acher

 I Buried My Friend

Out in the wilderness we were,

My best friend, Prince, collie, and I,

Then a bear attack did occur.

Prince defended me, but did die.

I came out safe but full of hurt.

I took Prince to a pine tree where

By hand I dug away the dirt,

And laid my Prince's body there.

With large stones I covered his grave,

To keep any predators out.

While doing so, thanked Prince he gave

His life to save my life no doubt.

A final goodbye to Prince I'd say.

Then from my friend, had to walk away.
