 Why?

Are you an independent wife,

Not needing me to be around?

Do we not share a wedded life

Where many times we both have found

That each of us needs time alone?

Have we not often both agreed

We each have interests of our own,

And give the other space indeed?

Aren't I often a big headache

When I am with you? Am I wrong?

So when a shopping trip you make,

Why do I have to go along?
