Sense Sonnet - Steamer

 Sold and Bought

A young and pretty lass I be,

When met much older and rich man.

Mama said he was not good for me,

But I ignored Mama, and began

A love affair with him, and sold

My heart to buy our marriage had,

His cheating more as I grew old.

Mama had spoke truth, he was bad.

I'd given him my heart in vain.

With him, I could no longer live.

I proved his cheating, clear and plain.

And now it was his turn to give.

I got his money in due course,

When I was granted a divorce.
