Sense Sonnet - Chiller

 Puddle Skip

Two young ducks flew to the city,

With all its pollution and grime.

Both ducks were feeling quite gritty,

Searched for suitable place and time

To land into some water where

They could splish and splash all about.

A puddle on a road down there,

They approached, but one had some doubt.

This one duck watching the other,

Did feel the need to warn him back,

"This puddle's not for us, brother."

"I'll tell you why," the duck did quack.

"To pop into this puddle will"

"Leave us just as two wet roadkill."
