Sense Sonnet - Tickler

 A Fear I Shed

When younger, I would dream a lot

Of being in public somewhere,

And people staring as I'm caught

Facing the world, totally bare.

So in my waking hours, I

Became quite fearful that I would

Find myself, with no reason why,

Naked out in my neighborhood.

So paranoid that I became

Of unthinkingly leaving home,

Then looking at myself in shame,

As totally naked I roam.

But finally, this fear left me,

I joined a nudist colony.
