Sense Sonnet - Acher
Sadness of Marigold
Marigold, such a happy soul,
Be with her lover in the car.
Off to be married be their goal,
Their destination, not too far.
But then the car's engine shut down.
Marigold's lover got out to
Look at the engine, with a frown,
And some adjustments he did do.
Then he told Marigold to start
Up the engine, and she did so.
The car lurched forward, broke her heart,
Over her lover, it did go.
As Marigold shed tears, be told,
Poured down in sadness and be gold.
