Sense Sonnet - Pumper
The Stranger at Night
We cows are pastured for the night,
And enjoying the solitude.
But then we all see a flashlight,
And wonder who's 'bout to intrude.
At first with the light in our eyes,
Who holds the light we cannot see.
This time of night is a surprise
That someone at the farm would be.
Then the light goes out and we could
See that a human guy stands there.
Why is he in our neighborhood?
Any reason that we should care?
We watch him walk off in the rain.
Hope he's not from a burger chain.
