Sense Sonnet - Chiller

 Barely Barefooted

Walking through the forest one day,

My boots began to hurt my feet.

I still had a long walking way,

So I decided I would treat

My "barking dogs' to a soak in

Nearby refreshing babbling brook.

So sat on a log to begin,

Off my boots and my socks I took.

But just as I had finished that,

From the bushes I heard a sound,

Followed by a blur coming at

Me, I was terror stricken bound.

So, barefooted, I'm up a tree,

Bear footed one, just below me.
