Sense Sonnet - Acher
Oh Well!
If I lived well, I heard it said
That death would tremble to take me.
So maybe never I'd be dead,
So well my life I lived to be.
Of course live well as I defined,
Which probably was not the way
A well life might have been divined,
Which I knew not, never did pray.
And so there came that point in time,
The docs all told me time to go,
So lie here in my deathbed, I'm
Waiting to see if death will show.
I did not take death's coming well,
Looked at me and giggled like hell.
