 Loss I Won't Get Back

The wife on some vacation be,

Taking a cruise somewhere unknown,

She wrote in note of leaving me.

Such a loss, being left alone.

Friends and family were concerned.

The authorities got involved.

Time passed, the wife never returned.

Her missing case was never solved.

But with my life, I carried on,

Happily so to my delight.

Only evidence she was gone,

The note I'd forced the wife to write.

The wife is lost and won't be found,

Unless dug up in now paved ground.
