 My Defenestration

Defenestration I should get,

The wife told me when she learned that

I cheated on her, quite upset

In our high rise habitat.

I'd no idea what meant this word,

Probably nothing good of course.

I told the wife she was absurd.

But could it mean costly divorce?

The wife opened a window and

Then snuck up behind and pushed me.

Suddenly, I did understand,

Flying out the window I be.

Defenestration be my fate.

I learned the word's meaning too late!
