 Just Visiting

My son-in-law does not like me

To come and visit them at all.

So with my daughter I do be

Content to give her a phone call.

So on her birthday I called her.

When she answered, she was in tears.

My son-in-law had wronged for sure.

Hung over on too many beers,

He'd completely forgotten that

It was my daughter's birthday, so

My daughter planned to show up at

My home, but I gently said, "No."

"Learn a lesson he needs to do."

"I am coming to stay with you."
