 Obeyed the Prompt

A picture of a red squirrel, cute,

With sign, "Red Squirrels Drive Slowly," be

Seen while I'm in driving pursuit,

Causing chuckle to come from me.

But then a thought of sadder note

Came to me, as I figured it

Reasoned that this picture with quote

Was because red squirrels had been hit

By traffic driven through too fast.

And so there be this attempt to

Appeal before such traffic passed.

This driver knew what I should do.

So this red squirrel, when sign I saw,

Slowed down my car, and waved my paw.
