I am an American who
Wants to earn a living by work.
I am disabled, that is true,
All the more reason I won't shirk
On the job doing best I can.
All I ask is a starting chance
To prove over my work time span,
I'm more than just my circumstance.
Job interviews have come and gone,
So many now, I don't keep count.
Their play it safe is always on.
I try but just cannot surmount.

Potential bosses look at me
As a lawsuit waiting to be.
