A hero's welcome he did get
For his help finding freedom's way

All the states and thousands of miles
For thirteen months he travelled o'er.
This nation filled with friendly smiles.

Was etiquette judge for the trip,
The editors easily grossed
Out by all the hero worship.

Land of the free, home of the brave.
