Sense Sonnet - Acher

 Our Home

My parents, sisters, brothers and

I moved in the old farmhouse that

Over a hundred years did stand

Just waiting for us to be at

This time and place, our home to call

For growing up years, money poor,

But rich in love each had for all.

And in our home meant all the more.

Each of us kids left in our time.

The folks, until their deaths, did stay.

Memories decades ago, now I'm

Back to visit our home today.

An empty parking lot I find,

But our home still comes back to mind.
