Sense Sonnet - Acher
Mind Forgot, Body remembered
When I was four years old, I fell
Into sagebrush on trip out west.
Rash o'er my body then did swell,
Allergy to sage by a test.
The rash cleared up, my life went on.
Sagebrush again I did not touch.
No more occasion came upon
For me to be involved with such.
Then when 84 years old, I
Saw sage burger on a menu,
That sounded good, so I did try,
Without really thinking it through.
Rash over my body did rage,
Guess I'm still allergic to sage.
