 The Talk

The father's son has reached the age

When it is time to have the talk.

Difficult subject to engage,

But according to nature's clock,

The son needs given knowledge of

What the father learned long ago,

Difference between young lust and love,

Facts of life the son needs to know.

So at the kitchen table they

Come together, each takes a seat.

And the father begins to say

Why he has asked the two to meet.

Father and son, the talk to be

Made easier o'er pot of tea.
