 I Pray for My Friend

Oh God, You once gave me the gift

Of saving me from suicide,

Body, mind and soul to uplift,

With lots of human help supplied.

Oh God, I now know of a friend

In great despair as I once be,

Thinking an unnatural end

As solution, once thought by me.

Oh God, as human help I ask

You give me strength and wisdom to

Be there for my friend, and do task,

Convincing life's worth does come true.

Oh God, I pray same gift You gave

Me, please give, my friend's life to save.
