I read the letter that you wrote,

I'm sure was not an easy task.

You could have tried to sugarcoat

Our breaking up, but you just ask

That even though we parted ways,

Lots of good memories we had,

Sharing so many happy days

And nights, only our end went bad.

So yes, I hope that we both will

Learn from mistakes both of us made,

And emptiness in each would fill

With gratitude for us displayed.

This letter I write back to you,

Thanks for happiness both shared true.
