 My Favorite Sound

Whenever walking outside or

Inside and with a window down,

Sound I always want to hear more,

Whether in country or in town.

It's the natural music there,

Through all the seasons of the year,

The music floating in the air,

Which always puts me in good cheer.

Melodic chirps, whistles and trills,

Warbles, buzzes, short or long tune,

Lifting my spirit such fulfills,

A welcome sound, most opportune.

I always hope such sound be heard,

Sound of any and all songbird.
