Sense Sonnet - Acher

 My Lie Told Me

"Not my Jesus," I said when young,

But my Jesus still stayed within,

Did not depart with my harsh tongue,

Did not depart when I did sin.

"Not my Jesus," when death I tried,

But my Jesus from me saved me,

As I recovered, stayed inside

Myself to help to better be.

"Not my Jesus," a lie I told

Myself, but then His truth I found,

And stayed with me as I grew old,

Now to my Jesus, ever bound.

"Not my Jesus," I now say not.

"My Jesus," I now feel a lot.
