 Book Bummer

My parents said since I was bad,

I need read a book all alone.

Being grounded by Mom and Dad,

The worst punishment I have known.

I'm sitting by a window for

The sunlight streaming through to let

Good light enough for reading chore,

Which really has me quite upset.

I have to read the book complete,

Cuz Mom and Dad will test me on

The book's contents, so I can't cheat.

All I can do is read and yawn.

Read a book is harder for me,

Than use my phone and watch T.V.
