Sense Sonnet - Acher
Been Here, Seen That
Almost noon time, sirens I hear.
From my desk to window I go.
Police and ambulance appear.
I watch sixteen stories below,
Outside Howard train station is
A body lying on the ground,
Authorities doing their biz,
I'm guessing, to the morgue be bound.
A very busy time and place,
With lots of people walking by.
Nothing surprising with this case,
Certainly not surprised am I.
In time and place, I've seen before,
Chicago shooting, just one more.
