Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Cake Walk

The gate was open, I went out.

I know my taking off was bad.

Momma would be worried no doubt,

But I hope she won't be too mad.

I walk through town, then smell and see

The biggest cake ever behind

A window, beckoning to me.

I've a sweet tooth, so of a mind

To somehow get this cake by stunt.

But then my keepers come to take

Back this missing young elephant.

And, gee whiz, they give me the cake.

As I'm taken back to the zoo,

I've got my cake, eating it too.
