Convicted felons sometimes are

Elected the president of

His or her country, seems bizarre,

But just happens sometimes in gov.

Such an example comes to mind,

Who was elected anyway,

Cuz his country's voters did find

Him to be the best for the day.

And he did serve as best he could.

For just and right, he took a stand,

Presided over common good

In South Africa, his homeland.

Convicted felon president,

Nelson Mandela, such a gent.
