 Hyacinth

Apollo god fell in love with

Hyacinthus, a Spartan prince.

They oft played sports, as goes the myth,

Disc throwing, one of such events.

Hyacinthus, accidently

Struck and killed by a disc thrown by

Apollo, devastated be,

Causing his sweet lover to die.

Apollo wanted to die too,

But was immortal, so could not.

Thus Apollo, a deed did do,

So his lover not be forgot.

Spilt blood from Hyacinthus, doomed,

Turned to hyacinth, flower bloomed.
