 First Date Ending

Two young teenagers on the porch,

Hot July night 'bout ten o'clock.

Their first date, he carries a torch

For her, and now there's awkward talk

About the film and that and this,

As he is pondering on how

To go about a goodnight kiss.

Due to the time, should be done now,

A ten o'clock curfew she's got.

And on this, her Daddy is firm.

Now in a time sensitive spot,

The young couple mumble and squirm.

Inside watching, and out of sight,
