Sense Sonnet - Steamer

 Serving Justice

When I was young I thought that I

Could serve justice for truth and right.

But as more of my time went by,

I've concluded, a perk of might

Is to shape justice just the way,

So powerful guilty can be

Deemed innocent, and thus they stay

In power indefinitely.

Always powerless I've been, so

I've been cowardly then and now.

For true and right justice I know,

Others more brave, try serve somehow.

Those in power serve justice best

To fit their need, hell with the rest.
