Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Saintly One

A saintly one I would define

As one who seems to me to live

The way I was taught as divine,

Pure good in humans meant to give,

Understanding, patient and kind,

Also filled with humor and fun,

Expressed from a virtuous mind,

All this within a saintly one.

Most saints I've heard and read about,

I'm not sure if such I have known.

No one I've known has been without

Some erring ways just like my own.

A saintly one evokes in me,

Like such one could I ever be?
