Sense Sonnet - Tickler
Off Script
At the Cottonbowl football game
The national anthem was played.
Then a trained bald eagle took aim,
Soaring around the crowd dismayed
When the eagle went rogue and lit
Upon varied fans here and there.
But nobody was hurt a bit
By the eagle's greetings to share.
No doubt big bird did steal the show.
The crowd applauded with great zest.
To handler the eagle did go,
A memory made at its best.
Surprise - the eagle has landed
On each side's fans - even handed.
