Pricey Degree

M.A. degree in English Lit,
One hundred thousand bucks in debt,
And soon after the fan was hit,
No good paying job could I get.
I waited tables during day,
And took drink orders during night,
But still was unable to pay
The student loans that squeezed me tight.
My parents who cosigned my loans
Went broke and into bankruptcy.
Our future now my past owns.
It is a grim reality.

My family now it does seem
Nightmared the American dream.
