Penny Marshall, "Laverne" has died.
"Laverne & Shirley" - T.V. hit
In the late '70s did ride
To ratings number one was it.
The two young gals in Milwaukee,
Laverne wore sweaters with an "L,"
Bottle cappers in a brew'ry,
They entertained the viewers well,
With funny shenanigans that
Could air on a family show,
Laverne a nasal acrobat,
She and Shirley were all gung ho.

Sadly, Shirley said of her pal,
"Laverne was one 'L' of a gal."
