Said 'twas a patriotic goal -
Return her to Italy move.
1911 was the year.
Italy rejoiced her reshift.
But then the hard truth became clear.
The Mona Lisa was a gift
From da Vinci to the French king.
So 1913 back she went
With her smile over the whole thing,
Amused by all the excitement.

Maybe she still awaits the time,
She'll star big in masterpiece crime.
